About the game

Shoot ’em Up, 8 weeks part-time development

Built on top of 2D rendering library provided by TGA

Some of my contributions include

– Project Coordinator

– Checkpoints and Respawning

– Pickups, Score, Chargemeter and Health

– In Game UI, Loadout and Main Menu

– Downloaded and triggered all sound in game

My Work & Problems

This was the first project where I also took the role as project coordinator. It was my responsibility to keep track of attendance, forward questions or requests to the teachers responsible for the project, as well as making sure that meetings went smoothly and that the group stayed on task. This proved to be great for my confidence, not only as a programmer, but as a game developer. I received a lot of good feedback and after having voted for my desired group members during our second year the majority of the team from Swarmed was assembled to work together again.
